Nakamun Community WhatsApp Groups

SV Nakamun Council has decided to launch two new WhatsApp group chats, in addition to the existing “Nakamun Crime Watch” group.

Nakamun Council Updates
This group will be used for Council to share updates with residents regarding events, new proposals or projects, and other important information about the Summer Village. This group is strictly for one-way communication from Council and will not accept messages from members of the public.

Nakamun SV Discussion
This is an open discussion forum for all members to engage in conversations about SV Nakamun projects and community matters. Council will post initiatives under consideration to gather public feedback, interest, and concerns. Group members may post relevant village information or concerns. The forum will be monitored by Council members, who may provide comments or bring topics forward to Council meetings for further review.

Guidelines for Posting on WhatsApp
Please ensure that all discussions remain relevant to community purposes. Respect the privacy of others by not sharing personal information without consent. Avoid spam, excessive messaging, or irrelevant content. Members are expected to be courteous, avoid hate speech or bullying, and report any unacceptable behaviour to an administrator.

Next Steps
All members of the existing “Nakamun Crime Watch” chat will receive an invitation to join these two new groups.
If you are not currently on the “Nakamun Crime Watch” chat and would like to join the Nakamun community WhatsApp groups, please follow these steps:

• Install WhatsApp on your phone and/or computer.
• Create a WhatsApp account using your phone number.
• Add your full name to your WhatsApp profile.
• Send an email to Ray.Gertz@svnakamun.com requesting to be added to the groups that you are interested in (“Nakamun Crime Watch”, “Nakamun Council Updates”, “Nakamun SV Discussion”). Please include your full name, phone number, and address at Nakamun Lake (SV Nakamun and local county residents are welcome to join). Ray will then send you a link that you can use to join the group.
