Re: Fire Ban Lifted – May 13, 2025 – Fire Advisory Now In Effect
Please be advised that the Fire Ban issued for the Summer Village of Nakamun Park on April 30, 2025 is hereby lifted as of 4:00 p.m. this day, May 13, 2025. A Fire Advisory remains in effect.
During the Fire Advisory:
- Existing burn permits remain active, but no new permits applications will be reviewed
- Recreational cooking, warming, and campfires in acceptable fire pits are allowed, along with BBQs, and propane/natural gas fired appliances. There will be zero-tolerance for any use of unapproved fire pits or cooking units, or other unsafe/prohibited fire related activities in accordance with the Fire Services Bylaw.
- Fireworks and burn barrels are not permitted.
We remind all property owners and guests to be vigilant when enjoying a fire in the community during this period of heightened risk.
